SA swimming qualifying times

Swimming SA runs one state championship: the State Short Course Championships in late August, a combined age-and-open meet from 11 years up. The 50s, 100s, 200 Free and both IMs publish single-year cuts from 11 to 16 plus an Open standard; the 400/800/1500 Freestyle, the 200m-form strokes and the 400 IM run as grouped age events (12–13, 14–15, 16) with Open above them. Athletes 16 and under may enter their age-group event or the open event — but not both. Multi Class events run as Open events entered on a Multi Class Point Score rather than a time.

SA State Short Course (MC)

Swimming SA publishes its Multi Class standards as Multi Class Point Score thresholds (75, 100 or 125 MCPS by event) rather than times. The times below are those thresholds converted through the official MCPS ladder for each classification — the slowest time that still scores the required points — so they move whenever Swimming Australia republishes the base times each October.

Which row applies to your swimmer

Use the age the swimmer will be on the meet's age-as-at date, which each championship page states. Standards are published per age group and per event — where a table shows no time for an event at an age, that event simply isn't offered to that group.
