This policy explains where data originates and how it is used within the SwimDNA platform.

SwimDNA may obtain information from publicly available sources including:
- National swimming governing bodies
- State and regional swimming associations
- Official meet results
- Timing providers
- Competition organisers
- Public athlete performance databases
- Information voluntarily provided by users
3. Use of Public Competition Results
Public competition results may be used to:
- Track athlete development
- Analyse performance progression
- Identify performance trends
- Compare historical performances
- Estimate qualification likelihood
- Generate athlete insights
SwimDNA does not claim ownership of official competition results.
Ownership of original competition results remains with the relevant governing body, event organiser, or rights holder.

SwimDNA transforms publicly available performance information into independent analytical outputs, including:

- Consistency measurements
- Qualification forecasting
- Event suitability analysis

These outputs are proprietary SwimDNA analytics.
