NSW swimming qualifying times
Swimming NSW runs two championship seasons. The short-course season, from July to September, has a regional championship (Metro or Country, depending on your club's area) and the State Age championships, split into a Youth meet for 9–13 year olds and a Senior meet for 14 and over. The long-course season, from November to March, has its own Metropolitan, Country and State Age meets, and its age bands are drawn differently: the Youth meets run 9 to 12, the Senior Metropolitan meet starts at 13, and the Senior State Age meet starts at 12 — so a 12-year-old has a published standard at both State Age meets. Every standard below is the published cut for that meet, at the age the swimmer will be on the meet's own age-as-at date. Every NSW meet accepts a qualifying swim from either course, with one exception: the long-course Senior State Age championships, where a short-course time cannot be used.
